Tranmere story
Ian Robert Nolan is an English-born former Northern Ireland international full-back from Liverpool. After youth football with Preston North End, he played for Northwich Victoria and Marine before beginning his Football League career with Tranmere Rovers in 1991.
Nolan moved to Sheffield Wednesday in 1994 and later represented Bradford City, Wigan Athletic and Southport. His career included Premier League football with Sheffield Wednesday and Bradford, while he represented Northern Ireland internationally between 1996 and 2002.
